17th International Conference on Concurrent Enterprising (ICE 2011)

The term Concurrent Enterprising is an amalgam which combines the paradigms of Concurrent Engineering and Extended/Virtual Enterprising: The Concurrent Enterprise is a distributed, temporary alliance of independent, co-operating manufacturers, customers and suppliers using systematic approaches, methods and advanced technologies for increasing efficiency in the design and manufacturing of products and services by means of concurrency, parallelism, integration, standardisation, team work and more for achieving common goals on global markets.

Call for papers

Publishing Information

We publish one paper per presenting author only. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings (booklet incl. 1 pages abstract), provided the final papers and registration of at least one presenting author for the full conference are received before the appropriate deadline (see right) and they conform to the layout template.

IEEE Xplore

The conference proceedings will be published at IEEE Xplore.

International Journal of Product Development

Authors of selected research papers will be invited to submit extensions of the presented work to a special issue of International Journal of Product Development.

Review Process:

  • The papers will be selected in a two step refereeing process.
  • Extended abstract of min.1200 - max. 1500 words (blind refereeing by two independent reviewers)
  • For the second step successful authors will be invited to submit their full paper (second review to ensure that the authors have been taken into account the comments made by the independent reviewers).
  • Based on the recommendations of the reviewers, the Organising Committee will allocate submissions for oral presentation (long papers) and for poster presentations (short papers).
  • Abstracts and papers will only be accepted for review on the condition that the material has not been copy-righted, published, presented or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. Speakers will be allocated 20-25 minutes for presentation and discussion of their paper.

Review criteria will be /1/ whether and /2/ how the paper extends the existing body of CE knowledge as its innovation, and /3/ therefore its relevance for the conference topics, /4/ the scientific quality of the research approach and /5/ clarity of presentation.
In particular you should give evidence how you validated your approach.
