Kick-Off Meeting for the REMPLANET project in Valencia (RWTH-TIM Blog)

Filed under:

May 11th, 2009

Last week the REMPLANET consortium met on campus at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain for the official project kick-off meeting for the REMPLANET project. The project consortium consists of 13 participating organizations from five different European countries, including universities, research institutions and industry partners.

Within the next three years the project aims at the development of methods, guidelines and tools for the implementation of a so-called Resilient Multi-Plant Network Model in a Mass Customization industry setting by the means of Open Innovation techniques. In this project, the TIM-group will work closely with a team from FESTO, a German supplier of pneumatic and electrical automation technology. FESTO already puts Mass Customization very successfully into practice and will be a very valuable partner for the REMPLANET project.
