The Workshop will take place in Valencia (Spain), 20th and 21st March 2012.
Accepted and presented papers will be published by ISTE Publications UK, http://www.iste.org
Workshop Scope
The setting up and management of complex manufacturing networks requires the development of suitable methodological approaches and the respective decision support tools. In parallel, the deployment of collaborative practices have to be supported by suitable knowledge and information sharing tools as well as by tools allowing to map the various business processes and to apply to them the identified best practices. The collaborative perspective of the current manufacturing networks also requires interoperable solutions to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and information in this context.
The workshop objective is to present the most recent advancements, both at the theoretical and application level, about the above cited research subjects. The workshop is supported and leaded by members of the iNet IMS MTP Initiative consortium and can capitalise upon the contributions of five FP7 projects belonging to it (Converge, inTime, Net-challenge, Remplanet and SMCS). Due to the wide applicability of the proposed research subjects the workshop committee strongly encourages academics and practitioners, not yet belonging to iNet, to submit contributions and to actively participate to the discussion.
